I loved seeing the EVE cake topper post, and that inspired me to post some of the EVE elements from my wedding to James Damar in October of 2010! We met in EVE when we both joined HAVOC corp together, so it was fitting that EVE play a part in our wedding as well.
I suppose the EVE theme started back before our wedding with our engagement pictures. We have a few, but this is one of my favorites:
For our wedding we chose to have an EVE themed cake. We thought about having a Hel and a Nyx topper made (those are ships that we've both been known to fly) but having a topper created for us proved to be too expensive. So we went another route and had images of each ship printed in edible ink on our cake! Our concept continued with cupcakes in decorated in friendly and enemy fleet colors having a fleet fight around our motherships. Here are a few images I stitched together:
We decided to have our table names also be EVE related, both in font and the names themselves. All tables were named after cap and super caps - Hel, Nyx, Aeon, Avatar, Erebus, Wyvern, Moros, Phoenix, Archon, Naglfar, Chimera (funny sidenote: we thought about seating my church friends at the table named "Hel", but figured we'd skip the drama and seat our EVE friends there instead.) As I was putting these together, I was searching all over for a "spacey" looking font... completely forgetting that one had been created using EVE's logo! Silly me. lol Once a friend hit me over the head with a link to the font, I knew that was what it would have to be. Here's a board of the table names:
We also used the EVE font in our programs. Our Dutch versions were longer then the English versions, so they had more EVE font headers. Here's pic of the Dutch version:
